With the onset of the COVID 19 the Valdez Museum is down 97% over last year.

The Museum is more than a place to store objects, artifacts and beautiful works of art. Everything we do flows from our collections. The Museum is open year-around with offerings that include:

The Museum serves as a catalyst for creating community identity through educational offerings, thoughtful exhibits, cultural programs and historical preservation.

Together, these lead to the development of healthy children and families and a great sense of community. Today with limited operations and social distancing, Staff are having to be even more creative by creating online offerings and navigating new technologies. Without the human and technological resource to sustain this commitment to the community, additional cuts to personnel will need to be made.
